I bought these chains last fall for plowing. My JD is stored in a garage when not in use. About one month into plowing season I started to notice reasonably significant rust on the chains and at the end of the season they were heavily rusted. I suppose in fairness they don't claim to be stainless steel or anything like that, but JD has to know they will be used outdoors and therefore IMO should be designed for that use. |
