Kit includes:
  • (1) GX21833 belt
  • (3) GX21784 blades
  • (3) GX21694 blade nuts
  • (3) M149625 blade washer
  • (2) 14M7400 idler lock nuts
  • (12) GX22456 spindle mounting bolts
  • (3) AUC15811 spindle hub assemblies with grease fittings
  • (1) AUC23277 2-3/4-inch idler pulley (replaces GY22172) *
  • (1) AUC17621 idler pulley
  • (1) GX21582 idler spring

* Some models require a second AUC23277 2-3/4-inch idler pulley (replaces GY22172). Order separately.


Spindle hub mounting holes are not threaded at factory. Mounting bolts are thread cutting bolts. It is recommended that threads be cut on workbench before installation.

Great rebuild kit
This mower deck rebuild kit has all the parts necessary to make it like new, except the can of yellow paint. My bearing "howl" is gone and the cut is flat and level. Worth it all the way!

KIT FIT FINE, BUT 48" DECKS USE TWO OF THE SMALL IDLER PULLEYS. THIS KIT ONLY COMES WITH ONE. HAD TO GO BUY ONE FROM JOHN DEERE TO COMPLETE JOB. OTHERWISE GOOD KIT.

nice kit the only problem is my deck has two idler and one belt tensioner pulleys. the kit only has one idler and the belt tensioner pulleys.

It only took about an hour to rebuild my mower using this kit. I took a photo of where everything was before taking it apart. Everything fit! Mower is like new.

Great Kit - Great Comments by other Reviewers
This kit was great and was easy to install. My only recommendations are as follows: (1) Fix the description about the second idler pulley to be part #GY22172 which replaced G Y20067 and add that you should also order an additional idler lock nut (14M7400) when you order the second idler pulley; (2) Also recommend ordering replacement drive pulley’s and mounting nuts for each new spindle if yours need replacement (mine were OK and thus I did not need new ones). I really appreciated the note about pre-inserting the self tapping mounting bolts and also a prior reviewer’s comment about taking pictures before and during disassembly to make re-assembly easier.

Great Kit came fast as described, I did order an extra Idler pulley as others suggested, for my D140. The self tapping screws worked great for my 3 spindles. I just clamped it into my vise and pre-screwed all the holes first. When taking off the old parts a impact wrench was a great help to loosen all screws and nuts.

This kit restored my cutting deck to new condition, everything that I needed. The parts description makes a note to be sure and order an extra pulley for a 48" deck, which I did. The Green Part Store crew is top notch! They filled my order completely and promptly. Thanks very much!

good deal
a pretty complete kit. I appreciate the note about the possible need for a second idler pulley since I needed one. The idler spring I rec'd was much smaller than the one I needed. The spring issue was the reason for the 4 stars, otherwise it would have gotten 5.
