John Deere 48-inch Mower Deck Rebuild Kit (Years 2002 thru 2004) - GY20996

I ordered my parts online from your store after searching many different sites and the delivery was fast and all parts were of good quality and easy to install my mower deck.

Fast turn around (no pun intended) from company, and super easy install. So far no issues from parts, or my install. Really like the grease fittings pre-installed in the spindles.

Ordered my parts on Friday, arrived at my house on Monday afternoon. Easy to install and John Deer quality. Great customer service!!

I purchased this deck rebuilt kit for my 2003 Scotts 2548 mower, which is made by John Deer. I could have bought a cheaper kit from eBay, but the parts in this kit came in John Deer packaging and appeared to be OEM. It will take about two hours to swap out the old to the new parts. Grease the spindles via the Zerk fittings until you see grease exiting the ends of the spindles, (about 20 strokes with my grease gun). The hexagon drive in the three mower pullies was rounded and did not lock on the new spindle. I restored the hexagon with a punch on a vice, but the better solution would be to purchase three new drive pullies when you order this kit. I also added a steel reinforcement rings to the deck as a preventive measure. I purchased the reinforcement rings from eBay, (made in America). GreenPartStore should stock them. They came with longer M8 spindle bolts. Tap the new spindles with an M8 tap to simplify assembly. Take plenty of disassembly photos, as no instructions were included. There is plenty of videos on the internet on how to do this project.

Kit was exactly as advertised. Easy installation. Works great.

Every thing fit and worked great. It made a huge difference in the cutting and especially the bagging the grass.

This is a great kit for rebuilding your mower. deck. Really like the fact you can grease the blade bearings.

Deck parts are well made fit exactly as intended. Nice to see grease fittings on belt spindles. John Deere should have been there from beginning.

Ordered mower deck rebuild kit for 2004 JD L130 - parts arrived just as promised - all parts were there and had the whole deck done in a matter of a few hours. Have your deck prepared, cleaned up and an impact driver helps tremendously. Would buy parts from these guys again!

The kit was great but initially was missing parts. They customer service staff went above and beyond to get my the missing parts as quick as they could.
