John Deere 60 inch Mulching Kit Fits 7 Iron & 7 Iron II Decks - TCB10953

Bought this for my 60D quick disconnect mid mount deck for my 1025r. Arrived quick. Only disappointment was the instructions, which were minimal and they attempted to be universal for all of the different decks this could fit. I kept trying to figure out which way the kit was supposed to fit but couldn't line up all of the pre-drilled holes in my deck. I finally resorted to matching everything up to the pic on the front of the directions and then drilling holes for the bolts/nuts where needed. I had to drill about 6 holes, the rest lined up correctly. After install the blades mounted perfectly and everything fit correctly and it works great. I just wish the directions were a lot clearer on the need to drill holes on certain decks. -1 star for directions.

As other reviewers have stated, the instructions leave something to be desired. However, if you are slightly mechanical at all you will have no problem figuring out how to install this kit. The customer service when ordering the kit was great, the rep on the phone even looked up the serial number off my deck to insure I was ordering the correct part. Installation took about 30 min with installing the new blades, the kit lined up perfectly with the factory holes in my 7 Iron 60 inch deck. Overall I am very happy with this product.

Purchased for my 1025r with 60D mid-mount mower deck. The kit fits but as another review mentions, there are several holes that need to be drilled into the deck. Removing two of the spindles was necessary to drill the six holes.

Worked, after a lot of pushing to line up the holes. The piece with the chute cover was hard to install. Definitely not a pop on, pop off part. Once installed, it worked great. No clippings on top of the grass. Not sure why other reviewers have had to drill holes, and sure don't understand drilling more than three since there are only three bolts?????? Just keep pushing, pulling, cursing...it'll fit.
