John Deere Barrier Shield - LP23117

I used this for the first time yesterday to spread salt. It works perfectly for that application, dropping salt where I need it and nowhere I don't. My only complaint is the way it's mounted. First, it attaches with only 2 bolts on the frame of the spreader. There is a lot of leverage on them due to the long brackets to which the shield is attached. I can see it sagging over time. Second, the two bolts are secured by plastic wing-nuts and no lock washers. It's difficult, if not impossible, to get your hand or a tool into position to get them tight. Despite my best efforts, one bolt fell out during this first use. I'm sure I'll find it in a tire on one of my vehicles. The nut should be standard with a nylon insert to keep it from coming loose.
