Why make it HARD on yourself!
Covers fit perfectly, and if your removing one that hasn't been touched in a couple years, do yourself a favor and get the new ones. Old ones just don't want to go back on easily. Possible? Yes, but why fight it for a couple bucks. Be done and back to work or play without the hassle!

Fit perfect. Old covers shrink over time, so when you work on spindles, best to replace with new ones.

The cover was easy to install. I warmed it up with a hair dryer to make it a little more flexible and slipped it on.

The local John Deere dealer is 30 miles away and doesn't stock this item or a lot of other parts for my L110. This Bearing cover fit perfectly, and saved me a lot of gas by arriving at my door. Thanks guys for great service.

Not as yellow
These seem to be slightly thinner plastic than the originals, and not as yellow, but they do the job. Probably being made in China like all JD parts now days.
