In the spring of 1989 John Deere changed the color of the AG and Turf Green paint used in the manufacture of new products. The newer shade of green is slightly lighter than the original. At that same time they introduced "Classic Green" which color matches all equipment AG and Turf, that they manufactured prior to 1989

Environmentally friendly
State and federal governments are tightening regulatory controls on paint volatile organic compounds (VOC). Because of high air-pollution in certain parts of Delaware, California, Maryland, and Canada, local air control districts have adopted restrictive rules on the types of paints and solvents that can be sold and used in their districts. They are prohibiting the sale and uncontrolled use of paints that emit VOC’s greater than 2.8 pounds per gallon.

John Deere offers a low-VOC solvent-based paint to meet the regulatory requirements in Delaware, California, Maryland and Canada.

User-friendly
The low-VOC solvent-based paint uses the same application equipment you currently use – there is no added expense in purchasing new paint guns or special equipment.

Replaces water-borne formula
The low-VOC solvent-based paint replaces the John Deere water-borne formula.
