John Deere Complete 42X Edge Extra Mower Deck Assembly - SKU25365

This Deck Assembly arrived ready for installation. With John Deere's 4 point mounting system on the 300X, I was able to remove the old deck and install the new deck in 90 minutes. I had never removed my deck prior to this repair. The new deck arrived 100% ready for installation. I only had to cut the two metal straps binding the deck to the shipping pallet. If you need to replace your old deck, this item is your solution.

This deck is the best thing going if you need a new deck. These decks are tough but after building a home in the middle of nowhere I hit many obstacles hidden by tall grass. I'd welded the original a couple of times but I was tired of repairing it. This new deck came with the the small scalping wheels, and the discharge chute in a separate box and had to be installed. Total install time for complete deck was probably about 40 min's. Another 15 min's to level properly (it took me several sequences to get level correct). This being a complete deck isn't cheap but purchasing thru Greenpartsstore the complete deck including new belt was less money than I could buy the deck shell from my local John Deere dealer in Stillwater, Ok. Great value in my opinion. I did call in and talk before purchase. The personal at Greenpartsstore were very helpful. I'll definitely buy parts here when need arises.

Perfect mower deck replacement for my 2007 X300 42". Exactly as described. Easy install. Beats the cost of a new John Deere! GPS was great to work with...good communication, fast & easy shipment to my home. Answered all my questions, and gave great advice. Glad I made the purchase.

The new factory deck arrived in excellent/perfect condition in one week !! Very fast shipping. Already installed on my X300 in less than one hour. I was able to sell my used deck for $100 on a Craigslist, had many interested buyers. My local JD Dealer wanted to charge me $430 to replace the spindles in my deck and they wanted $800 for just the deck shell alone, and they did not even offer the ability to purchase an entire new deck, who knows what the price tag on that would have been. Outstanding value for what you receive. The deck came with literally everything for a complete change out including clips and pins and new front adjustment bar. Lawnmower sounds like new again and the cut is excellent. Communication with GreenPartStore was excellent and very happy I purchased through them. This took me three days to install. The first two days I was drunk and the third day I finally got around to it. Total install time if you are not drinking and never changed out a deck or leveled your lawnmower using basic hand tools is about 1 to 1.5 hours and that is if you are very diligent on your install. ;-)

nice deck took about 1 hr to install and level went to try turn on clutch belt stater smoking and broke took deck back off and check all of the pulleys found the pulley under the belt tencher lock up so remove found bushing on the wrong side swap bushing around went got new belt put on works like a charm belt very costly $67.00

This mower deck is the real thing for my X300. Fits perfectly and is quality deck. It has also an improved shut over the original.
