John Deere Complete Engine - MIA12858

Exactly what we needed! We have a John Deere Z225 42 in" w/ 18.5 HP Briggs & Stratton motor. The motor locked up late last summer & we had been putting off replacing. We went to the John Deere dealer locally & were told that John Deere didn't have any and the closest one was 3 hrs. away & they couldn't ship it. We ordered from Green Parts & SAVED money. Even with paying shipping it was about $40 cheaper than our local dealer. Quick turn around time, we ordered on a Saturday & received by the following Friday. Took approx. 30 mins. for my husband to install this motor, it was "bolt on" ready & everything matched up perfectly.

Replacement engine is 1hp smaller then the original. No where in the description does it say that. Other than that it has bolted right in.

Engine came in a timely manner and was complete.. . with oil filter and wiring harness. Really a simple installation with a few tools. I would very much recommend this product and would purchase again if needed ! !

Engine was a direct replacement for my existing one, I was surprised that everything was included, starter, carb, et. al. Only issue was that it did have some oil in it, but needed more added, it would have been nice to know how much to add, it did not need the full 1.75 quarts.
