John Deere Dethatcher/Aerator Multi Tool - LP39089

I have received and assembled the unit so far. I am really pleased with the shipping and service from the Green Parts Store! As far as the unit, it arrived intact, well packaged and padded. The unit assembly went very well with all of the parts (except two bolts, which I had). Although I have not operated either tool yet, I am really pleased with the design and construction! It has been well engineered. I am also glad that I purchased the John Deere model (vs. Agri-Fab standard) as I like it better and it has pneumatic tires.

The product is exactly as described and works well. The Customer Service was/is Outstanding with this company. First, I received an actual phone call from a real person when my order was going to be longer than expected. They said about 2 weeks and sure enough it was shipped out. When I received it a piece was broken and I emailed them a picture of broken piece and part number. First thing in the morning I got a response asking if that was the only piece and that they would take care of it. Then I got another real phone call to make sure everything else was satisfactory. He explained that they would ship the part to him and then it would be shipped to me and gave me an approximate date as to how long it would take. Very well built and sturdy tool. Nice space saving design with combo feature. Will get many years out of this attachment.

I received the tool promptly inspit of the current situation. The tool appears to be of good quality and was relatively easy to assemble (~2 hrs). I have used the aerator and it appears to do a good job on my lawn which has a lot of hard clay. I would recommend.

Nice. Works good. Be careful with the handle you'll be fine. Don't slash your fingers on the tines (3 stitches LOL) putting it together like I did.

Unit shipped promptly and assembly took a little over an hour. Took the time to inventory everything against the parts list before starting so there were no surprises. Would have been a bit quicker with a second set of hands but easy enough to assemble with no help. The only real issue was that the aerator came in with a broken flange bearing on the axle. Sent a pic to GPS and they had not just one but two replacement parts here within a week. Ran an overlap pattern with the Dethatcher and it worked great. Same with the aerator. Had about 60 #'s on the aerator and was pulling 2" + plugs out. May use a bit more weight next time. Was very careful with the handle that raises and lowers the wheels with the weight on it as there were a lot of reviewers that had problems with it. The handle does like to pop out of it's retainer bracket so maybe filing another notch on the bracket might keep it in place? Pulling this around with an old 9hp RX75 and it worked just fine. I’m very happy with this purchase. Good price, shipped fast and good communication. The combo unit is easy to setup and worked great. Our yard was very compacted. I waited until after a rain before I aerated it. With two concrete blocks loaded up I got sone nice deep holes. It’s a nice solid piece of equipment with John Deere quality. I would recommend the combo unit and this seller.

This item is well built and works great. Took a few hours to assemble but instructions were very good. It was also packed very well which ensured no damage during shipping. After one use of both the rake and the plugger I think this is a excellent purchase.

Good solid product, but the lift handle to raise the tines over obstacles can bend under a load. Also a couple more tines would be nice.

Arrived on time and packaged well. Item is built solid but instructions couldve been a little more detailed in some areas. Customer service at GreenPart Store is top notch. I’ll be shopping there first moving forward.
