Sine it was OEM I figured it would fit, which it did. It can be put in backwards as the two projecting ends of the spring are different. The long one goes on the chute, and you have to put a quarter turn of tension on the spring while inserting the pivot rod. Not hard, but needs to be done for it to work. JD should package this part with the retaining clip for the pivot rod since it is unlikely that you will get it off without tearing it up; I went old school and drilled the rod for a cotter pin.

The chute fit very well with no modifications necessary which is a suprise considering this is not the original part just a cross referenced one that fits. Shipped on time and got it earlier than the quoted date. Very pleased with the purchase and the price. Would definitely buy purchase from greenpartsstore.com again.
