I purchased these springs along with the fuel door. In the package was a sheet explaining how to install the sprins but I subsequently lost the paper before I installed the door. I ed-mailed green parts asking them to e-mail the instructions but they never did. I then went to you tube and put in installing john deere fuel door and springs and there was a video there with detailed instructions so I was able to install the springs and door.

Mr.
The Springs are correct for my 4319 J.D. The Problem is the hood, the place they are to be attached is broken, so I was not able to implement them. To fix it, I silicone glued two rubber rest spots for the Fuel Cap were the cap rests when closed. I then put a thin layer of Grease on Cover hinge so silicone would not stick to it. Put fuel cover in place in the open position and put silicone over hinge shafts and smoothed over with my finger, then let dry. Works great.

I received these springs in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, even though I went by actual part number on diagram, they were not the correct Springs for my model tractor. After we struggled installing, I YouTubed and the springs in that video, for my same model tractor, were not these Springs.
