John Deere 42 in Tractor Grass Groomer Striping Kit - LP1001

Leave yourself some time to install this kit if doing so on one of the D100 series models. It took me a while but it is sturdy once installed. This brush does stripe the grass but not as well as a regular roller would. Overall I am happy but I wish the stripes were more defined.

I cannot say enough great things about this striping kit. After seeing rollers, brushes, chains and other insanely expensive kits online this was at an excellent price point. The installation is very easy and you can adjust the brushes on the fly if needed. My tip: If you can, mow no lower than 4" and lower the brushes as low as you can (without damaging them) and you will make more vibrant stripes. Heck they even threw in a can coozie so my drinks don't get cold while I'm mowing!

Bought this for my X300 with 42" Edge Xtra deck and it works perfectly. Previously had a Simplicity lawn mower with roller that gave same stripe effect. I would say the stripes with this grass groomer are as good or better on my cool season Kentucky bluegrass. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

After previously working in the landscape business and as an assistant greens keeper, I love the professional look in my yard. This product does a great job of achieving a good striping pattern. I would say that the only better effect is a reel mower with a roller. Holds up well in comparison to commercial mowers with rollers, real difference is my tractor blade speed in comparison to a commercial deck blade speed. Great product and super fast shipping. This my new go to place for all JD gear!

I finally splurged and bought this striping kit after exploring many options. Although I saw several homemade plans I could have tried for cheaper, this was by far the most affordable manufactured kit. The item arrived promptly from green part store. I found the installation directions were very basic and lacking in easy to follow directions, however, using common sense, I was easily able to install this to my deck. Excitedly, I mowed the first dry day I had and was very excited to see this kit gave me the exact look I was looking for. Based on the quality of the kit, I predict it will last for years. Great buy.

Works as advertised. Well constructed. Easy to attach. Very pleased with this product.

One mow in and I can see a difference. The instructions to install could be a bit more clear, but after a few minutes I figured it out. Look forward to using it a few more times to see how well it works.
