John Deere Electric Lift Kit - MY 2016 and newer - LP64865

The remedy to a sore leg. My son and I (51 and 77 respectively) installed the lift in about two hours. Definitely a two man job The directions were for the most part spot on, Installing the writing harness was a breeze although there was no mention of what to do with two "blocks" that looked like they should be affixed somewhere so we left them dangling, FYI contrary to e-mail advice from the Green parts store it can be installed easily with the snow blower already installed. Worked perfectly the first time. The addition of a bit of down pressure with the lift makes for a cleaner surface/scraping as it goes. The engineering design is flawless . The powder coating on the lift could be a bit thicker as it reveals the bare metal with very little natural abrasion. A good caveat is to check the tire pressure in the front so as to accommodate the extra weight. Delivery was quick and the packing was adequate to withstand the bumps and grinds in delivery, the box was punctured in a few places but there is an inner box undamaged. Disabling the foot lift mechanism and removing the tie rods to it leaves me wondering about what will be involved in putting the mower back on in the spring. Looks like most of the lift can stay in place. I thought the switch that controls the actuator would make for a abrupt, jerky lift and lowering but that is not the case as the blower can be raised and lowered gingerly . Botto line: bring on the snow!!

Being a 73 year old that just had his left knee replaced I wasn't sure how if I cold lift the blower with the foot lift. I installed the helper spring and it helped a great deal. Then I saw this lift and liked what I saw, it'd been the best money I've spent in a long while. Price was great free shipping was a great bonus! Product works flawlessly easy to install quality was first rate would recommend.
