After 11 years the bearing seized on the original pulley. It backed the nut off the shaft and shot it out into the yard, so watch out for that! The new pulley, shield & nut arrived in (2) business days and I was back in action the next weekend! Direct replacement for my Z425 48C

I ordered AM121108 thinking that was right one. Stupid me just started keying X300 42" deck idler pulley and scrolled until I got to that one that looked like bad one but when it came it was missing the bushing. The old bushing fused to the bad pulley so i though it was part of the assembly. When I called for help, I was directed to the (duh me) Illustrated Parts Catalog which is RIGHT OVER THE SEARCH BAR SO HOW COULD I MISS IT. Kind and knowledgeable gentlemen walked me to the deck diagram and all right pulley and bushing came only two days later.

Item shipped very quickly, arrived within a few days...I actually ordered the wrong part - this pulley is intended for a 52" deck vs my 48" deck (!) - but I was able to use it anyway (it's just a 1/4 inch larger, which doesn't affect performance at all - not sure why JD doesn't just use the same pulley for both and save the manufacturing headache for producing two differently sized pulleys for the same job). Very satisfied with greenpartstore.
