Features and benefits
  • 24 teeth per inch; 12 inches long
  • For general-purpose cutting – cuts mild steel, cast iron, aluminum, and copper
Hints for better cutting:
  • Blade speed should not exceed 40 to 60 strokes per minute – teeth must face forward
  • Excessive pressure causes dull teeth and breaks blades
  • Insufficient pressure causes dull teeth by rubbing
  • Excessive pressure on return strokes causes dragging
  • Starting a new blade in an old cut causes blades to break
  • Ensure blade is firmly tensioned in frame.
  • An occasional drop of oil to wing nut makes tensioning of blade easier
  • Never start your cut on a corner or hard edge as this may damage teeth
