New design makes installation difficult
This is essentially the same shock absorber that came on my JD 1025R with one significant difference. The torx head bolt was replaced with a hex on the far side of the ball joint. The only tool I could use was an old fashioned box wrench and I could only rotate one sixth of a rotation, then needed to flip the box wrench and turn again... and again... and again. Other than that, part is holding up and my pedals return to neutral as they should. Just wish they had kept old design.

Mr.
Part replaced broken "shock absorber" for foot pedals. Works great! Was super tough to put on though as the old part had a bolt with a torx head and new part did not. Instead it had a nut on the back side that all I could get was a 1/4 turn at best and it was a tight space to work. If the torx head was on the new part it would have taken 10 minutes tops. Instead it was a good 1/2 hour of me under the wheel well making baby turns with a wrench. Oh and don't forget to attach the front of the absorber to the foot pedal before you do this - it will be in the way but it is impossible to put on once bolt in back is in place (found that out the hard way - add another 1/2 hour of baby turns). Other than it being a breeze to take out but a pain to get in the part itself works great - just wish it had that torx head.

received the updated shock for pedal control taking old one out was a one minute job. putting new updated part in took easy half hour. the engineers at john deere suck. the new part had a 7/16 nut on the shaft. there’s like 2” of room to get a wrench in. 1/4 “ turn for a half hour. that’s rediculous go back to the original style with the torxs screw. a big pain in the butt as for green tractor i ordered and 2 days arrived thank you would buy again from this company
