John Deere Front Bumper - AM128998

I've had my LT-150 for almost 10 years now and noticed not long after I purchased it that the side mounting bolt holes of the bumper were cracked, shattered actually. Recently, I decided to order a new bumper fearing that they might stop making them and I would be left without a hood if the front two bolts give way. After receiving my new bumper I noticed right away what the problem was: the side bolt holes have a concavity behind them; meaning, if you overtighten these bolts the plastic bolt slots will shatter. This is apparently what happened to mine when the bumper was put on at the factory or the dealer. The front bolts can be tightened pretty snug as they are not designed/molded this way, but be very careful with the side bolts; just snug them enough to keep the bumper from moving relative to the frame when the hood is lifted.

I was dismayed while mowing some 1 1/2 ft grass that hid a tree stump. The result is that the front bumper on my John Deere mower was destroyed. What to do? Well, I found Your store on line that had an exactly replacement for my bumper (JD LT160) The price was very resonable and the delivery came FAST. I installed it in 30 minutes and my mower again looks like new! I can't thank you enough!

The bumper fit perfectly. However, it did take a bit of work to get the old one off and the new one on. I had to remove the hood to fit the bumper in place. Not a huge problem but it would have been nice to have directions. Like others have mentioned, the bumper would be much better if it were made of a less brittle material. Overall, I'm pleased with this product.

Wish these bumpers were more durable. Plastic broke where hood attaches.But is easy to change.
