This hood repair kit worked great both hinges were broken on my GT 275 hood and I didn't think there was anyway to repair it. then I found this kit and for the low price figured I would try it out. It worked great! drill Two holes and screw right on. Great product.

Quick Fix
Made for a quick fix on an expensive hood. I did add a small steel cable from the heat shield to the hood, this prevents the plastic hinge from holding all the weight when open.

This is a great kit to fix a poor design. Will repair your hood to better than new. Would recommend without reservation. GPS is fantastic, a big help when maintaining a tractor yourself. Good selection, easy to navigate website, and top-notch service. Would also recommend without reservation.

Works Great but....
This kit does the job but be sure your hood is not cracked or stressed around the pivot points. After drilling the hole for the kit, the hood area "fell apart" due to cracks in the area. I temporarily welded it together with a soldering iron but will have to order a new hood AND bumper soon.

Fixed the hood on my LX172 easily, and for a lot less than $300 for a new hood. Also have an older 160 that has metal hinged hood -- older design is better!

Installed easy, less then 5 minutes. Got the hood back on and functioning with out the high cost of replacing it. Also used Gorila epoxy to glue the broken peices back on to the hood.
