O.E. Deere replacement spring
Bought my mower new in 1998. The spring finally wore through at the deck end. I needed to build-up some metal on the attachment hook on the deck as well. Things should be good for another fifteen years.

Lawnmower boy
This is a very strong spring and should last many years.. If you have broken it, on a LX188, Make sure your M111358 John Deere Plastic Bushings on the tension post are not worn. I made the mistake of not checking them and broke my first replacement. After replacing the bushings, the spring has performed like new, unfortunately I had to buy 2 springs to learn this.

after some stretching of the old Extension Spring for my John Deere Lawn Tractor, which was broken at the end part I got a new spring from Steve. Now the tension of the driving belt is correct and the lawn looks wonderful ! Gernot

Miracle original replacement spring proves to be adequate!!
This exact replacement spring for my mower deck belt tensioner now allows me to cut the grass rather than just drive over it pretending to mow. Mine wore-through at the deck-hook-end from vibration it seems. 10 years of use so,I'm not complaining. Fast shipping and the deliver guy was nice but then again I see him every other day. (why I was specifically asked to submit a product review for a spring yet eludes me)

String Break
Delivered quickly and as described. Origional lasted over 18yrs. Second string ordered and when it broke it damaged my drive belt. Service dept was very helpful.
