I have a John Deere LX255 with the 42C mower deck. I like to use the mulching plug which works pretty effectively. One complaint has been that I cannot get more than one season out of a set of mower blades before the lift wings are completely worn away. This has been true of the mulching blades as well as the medium lift blades without the mulch plug. When purchasing blades from my local John Deere dealer I note that they are mostly after market blades. I will try these for the next season and see if they are better quality for about the same price as the after market blades. I am impressed with how quickly Green Parts Store is able to process orders and the ease of using the website to find the parts I need.
