The tire chains were easy to install and make all the difference in traction in the climate that I live. Unfortunately local John Deere distributors do not understand a need for them, they should think outside of snow removal purposes. Service is exceptional, and fast shipping as well.

The chains are alittle baggy but I was able to tighten them, then it didnt snow anymore so I don't know how well they work. Unless they scared off the snow then I would say they worked great.

Chains were shipped and delivered very quickly. This was my first attempt at ever installing snow chains, so not exactly completely a straight-forward process. The included directions were OK at best, and the chains seem a little big for my tires (I have an X300 w/ 20x10-8 tires), but I got them on and they work well - definitely worth the $$$. No more slipping when running in to bigger piles of snow!

With the chains on our tractor, it can now push larger amounts of snow faster with the attached thrower. The previous year we battle with the tires slipping when we had wet snow and when it had to push large amounts of snow. When we had large amounts of snow we could only take half swipes with our snowblower, now we can take full swipes.

Fit is good - was concerned based on previous comments that fit may be an issue but they fit as good or better than replacements chains (Worn through cross link on one - was down single tire with a chain but with slip traction equivalent to no chains). Used a couple times since installing and traction is great. Contrary to instructions I find easiest way to install is to lay out chains upside down behind tires and roll tractor back on to them. I used some not inlcuded wire to tie back the loose links after connecting - inside and outside of each tire, be great if some were included ;-). One last tip - hang up chains when storing after winter. If you throw them in a heap at end of winter you may find yourself doing an untwist chain puzzle next fall.

This was one of 6 items I purchased to add snow blow capability to my 8 year old John Deere X304 tractor. Installation was not difficult, instructions were clear looking forward to first snow to try them out.
