John Deere Steering Drag Link - AM116873

After attaching ball joint unit to threaded end, the installation on my LX176 was a peice of cake. Both attachments were easily accessed.

Linkage working fine although it is shorter than the original and only threaded 5/8" to keep steering wheel straight.

This is exactly what I needed. Shipping was reasonably fast. Thanks.

Replacement for broken part. Went right on and works great. Have replaced this part one time before but have had the GT262 since the early 90's. Still mows great!!

Product did work on my John Deere LX178 tractor but was a few inches smaller in length than my original bar that broke. I was recommended a different model but went with this model as it looked exactly like my original mode where-as the model greentree recommended was a little different in design. After two cuts, it seems to work fine. According to my tractors serial numbers, this model wasn't the perfect fit. But I was wondering why it was on my tractor in the first place. When my tractor was built, they probably ran out of the required part and did some improvising and installed this version on my tractor cause it was laying around and would probably work sufficiently. Which it did for a good 22 years.

I bought the AM116873 Drag Link and the AM125418 Right Hand Thread Ball Joint and together they worked perfect. Easy to install and operates just like the original.

Ordered this for my LX178. Fits perfect and got here fast.

without getting the AM125418 John Deere Steering Drag Link Right Hand Thread Ball Joint. I didn't take try to take the linkage apart until my new Steering Drag Link arrived and had to wait another couple of days for the other end to arrive.
