Item is like factory, the only problem was the installation, a bit tricky to reinstall the nuts that hold the gear to the frame,do to space. Also you should replace the steering gear at the end of the steering shaft . After replacing both gears the tractor steers with one hand, I didn't realize how bad to really was.

What a difference
Ordered this gear and the mating pinion gear, and replaced the drag links on my L130. Had no idea the parts were so worn, could only tell by the unusual wear on the front tires. (L130 is nine years old now with 810 hours on it). Thanks for being there AHW!

My John Deere mower was getting harder and harder to turn. While greasing the mower I noticed the steering gear being worn. I found you on the web and ordered the parts to fix the problem. Good prices and fast service with good parts. I suggest that both steering sector gear and matching pinon gear be bought at the same time due to equal wear on both parts.

Mr.
The new part fit well. The thin gear teeth contribute to their wearing out as well as the wear of the pinion. The steering shaft bushings were very badly worn. I did not purchase John Deere replacements because they are now plastic. I replaced these with custom made steel bushings.
