John Deere Belt Tightener - AM130728

Better than the original tightener. Looks like it is redesigned to reduce the wear problem at the end of the rod that went through the U-bracket. GreenPartstore (AHW) was very helpful when asked about the problems we were having. Thank you Art (in service) and crew at the Manteno, IL store for helping me problem solve the clutch bolt snapping problem (snapped two times). I replaced everything on the end of the crank, double checked the torque, and it broke again. They asked if the tightener was hanging up. I checked it and it was worn, the wear on rod leaving humps was hidden under the long spring. Time will tell if this solves the clutch bolt snapping problem. So far So good.

I inherited a fairly old GX325 that the mover deck had been removed several years ago. When I tried to reinstall it, there were many pieces missing. I bought several from Green Parts Store including the main drive belt which seemed to be much too long. It turns out this tightener was also missing. Once I bought and installed the tightener, everything works perfectly.

I am quite pleased for the manner I was able to order and receive the part I wanted for my John Deere. I received the part promptly and was able to install it the day I got it.
